     Motherwort is one of the staples of Chinese herbalism and was used among the ancient Greeks and Romans. The Romans brought it to the English Isles where it was common as a home remedy in the English herb garden until the fifteenth century. It found its way to North America where it is now appreciated for its virtues and cultivated from Nova Scotia to Montana. This herb is a member of the mint family and has a pungent but aromatic scent and blends well with peppermint.
     With this bulk package you can create a vast array of home preparations including tinctures, capsules, poultices, salves, and, of course, herbal tea.

Ingredients: 100% organic motherwort herb (Leonurus cardiaca)

Directions:
     Pour boiling water over the desired amount of herb. Cover and let steep for 10-20 minutes.
     When the tea has steeped long enough, strain off the herbs using a tea strainer or coffee filter.
