     Nettle is native to North America and Europe and can be found with ease in most abandoned fields and hedgerows. Stinging nettle (Urtica dioica) is the most common species deriving its name from its tiny stinging hairs which do not sting once dried or boiled. Harvested in its young age, good quality nettle should be light green with a light vegetable flavour.
     Beyond being used as a nutritious food in many cultures and traditions, nettle is one of the most important herbs in herbalism and is used in a wide variety of ways.

Directions:
     This is a delicate herb and the tea is more potent when exposed to high temperatures for a short period of time. To bring forth the herb's true characteristics, be sure your water is a rolling boil when you pour it over your teabags.
     If you are preparing a stronger more robust brew be sure to use one teabag per cup of boiling water. Cover and steep for 7-12 minutes.
     If you desire a pleasure tea or quick brew, use one teabag per cup of hot water. Pour water over teabags, cover, and let steep for 3-5 minutes to taste.
