     Calendula, commonly known as 'marigold', is a native of Europe and was named by the Romans because the plant blooms on the first day 'calends' of every month.
     Calendula was well known to the old herbalists as a garden flower and for use in cookery and medicine. According to Stevens, a 17th century European herbalist, calendula petals were once used so extensively in the Netherlands that barrels full of dried petals could be found in many grocer and spice seller shops.
     With this bulk package you can create a vast array of home preparations including tinctures, capsules, poultices, salves, and, of course, herbal tea.

Ingredients: 100% organic calendula flower (Calendula officinalis)

Directions:
     Pour boiling water over the desired amount of herb. Cover and let steep for 10-20 minutes.
     When the tea has steeped long enough, strain off the herbs using a tea strainer or coffee filter.
